I’m so glad to be done with this. I don’t get the hype over this author. Almost all I’ve read have been two stars for me. This just didn’t have it. There was no chemistry between the MC’s. I felt she was better off with Chad. Props to the author for not making this completely predictable, but the unexpected drama after? No. Everything tied up with a bow but not actually resolved.

-4-16. pg126. I didn’t have much reading time today. There is no reason to keep lying to him and books like this are so annoying. It’s so predictable how this is going to unfold. Would be nice if authors did something different for once.

I don’t like lying or deception, especially when it doesn’t make sense and there’s no reason to do so. All for the sake of drama. I didn’t reread the summary so I could be surprised, but the MCs have no real chemistry. It feels like she’s not even attracted to him? But he’s on the cover so looks like he is the hero after all. I thought she had more chemistry with his friend when they first met…
