Everyone in Maeve’s family is gone! The Estrella’s, horses, and members of her house dedicated and honorable to the end. Then stupid Soro, takes Maeve and the regent as prisoner and finally it’s revealed it wasn’t her father who killed the old queen. It was Maeve! Yikes

This book is rough to read. I want to take many breaks. It’s slow with the attraction between Keith and Maeve. Hard to fall in love with the characters
