Status Updates From Fireweed

If you asked me why Jenny cared so much I wouldn’t have an answer. I see the potential but the book is poorly constructed in terms of plot and character development. Some developments are better suited for a bad domestic thriller (ie all doemstic thrillers) than an upmarket novel.

I am going to finish another 100 pages today and finish tomorrow. my biggest gripe with this book is that Jenny's interest in Rachelle doesn't feel earned. I was expecting a genuine...neighborly familiarity if not burgeoning friendship but it is not that at all.

You can always tell an astra house debut from all the others because they don’t sound like all the other interchangeable debuts
