Status Updates From When They Burned the Butterfly

To be honest, I'm not sure how I'm feeling about the book at this point. Was expecting a lot - something more complex and darker, both conceptually and magically; however, it has yet to be that. The narrator is kind of a pain to read about - overly angsty (even before her unfortunate events). I also feel like what is *seemingly* going to be a love interest is being pushed too hard

the pacing is so sloooow. I'm a bit sad about that
