I’m not enjoying this book much honestly. Now Baby/Yemoja has come into fame; by being in the right place at the right time. Not by doing anything drastic or even moving much. Idk how I feel about that. I just feel like she’s come into this spotlight passively. Or maybe it wasn’t passive but I feel like it couldn’t been more.
I’m bored by the book honestly. Can’t wait to be done with it

Why do I feel like something's amiss?

Nothing profound is happening. This just seems like a story to tell people about Makoko. If I read any more about the water there I'm going to throw up. I got the message the first time!
