While I am (kind of) enjoying this and still (sort of) intrigued to see where it's going, I'm finding this so SLOW. I was curious why it's 417 pages before I bought it, thinking, "How in the world can an author stretch this premise for so many pages?" He's giving Stephen King a run for his money lol! I'm starting to feel that it doesn't need to be this long . . . but I'm not ready to officially call it quits yet.

Exceptional storytelling. I'm almost halfway through this 400+ page book in one sitting, and it feels like I just started it. The way the reader is drawn into the lives of these characters is incredible. Reminds me of Fredrik Backman's books in that way... not in the story itself but the way the reader is hooked.
