The way the old women (Confidence, Compassion and Contemplation) were shocked to learn and discuss how the old man Nomad saved said he could transfer energy from the sun or something and the title of the book was stated. That was epic.Pacing wise I can understand the world a bit better.It’s streamlined and it feels like a mix of Role Playing Game and great literature.Book is action packed- full of great surprises

Rebek is the woman who rescued her sister, who had attacked Nomad and was part Ember squad sadly. The arena battle ship or ship scenario was sort of explained. These stories are often very thoughtfully imagined and detailed. I also find the narration funny and serious also the narrator read by William DeMeritt is good. The sensations and the old women and their formal sense of conversation etiquette. Fascinating.

A lot happened. A lot of cool world building, interesting scenario as Nomad isn’t really understood and how his skills are restrained. The way he has a sentient piece of metal feels very Magnus Chase as it communicates with him and provides defensive tool. The skill set situation reminds of Trials of Apollo series. The resistance, the rain, the darkness, and the way Nomad describes everything. Story is a nice ride
