Status Updates From Doctor Fate by J.M. DeMatteis

A lot of fun - I’m really enjoying reading beyond the mini-series, and discovering the lighter tone of the regular series (which I never go to, when I was younger). DeMatteis will always be an Old Reliable for me.

Okay! So that was my re-read of the Dr. Fate mini-series that revived interest in the character…and launched a regular series I didn’t commit to, after an issue or two. Now I will. Keith Giffen’s art in the Fate mini has wiped away the Giffen art that disappointed me in the Hex series I just finished (though I LOVE the last panel of Hex’s final issue!). DeMatteis is one of my favourite comic book writers.

Other than 3 books planned for Black History Month, and one Mystery I can’t leave for March…I’m kinda tempted to do mostly comics and graphic novels for February! That would be a new twist for me. So this is cued up for after Ticktock by Koontz, and I do need to finish Sandman Mystery Theatre Vol. 2.

Not loving it, but enjoying enough to persevere for now. It's hella long though.
