Xio’s coming out was how I wish mine was. No one made a big deal out of it or dismissed it—they just started using Xio’s new pronouns.

I’m enjoying Celestial Monsters but I’m also disappointed. So far it reads as a book that was written just to show the world building. The romance is nearly non-existent and most of the conflicts get solved very quickly.

The jump from book one to book two feels like the jump from catching fire to mockingjay. It’s not bad but it’s taking some getting used to.
