omg this book hates the OW for no reason whatsoever. She's dull and boring and hardworking! Clearly not worthy of falling in love with, unlike our manic pixie FMC! And the poor MMC, he doesn't know that he doesn't actually care about her, she's just convenient (and does everything for him)! If she's not fucking his friend Lionel, whom he ALSO only associates with bc he's "useful," I'm going to riot. Fuck the MCs lol

In a prior working life, I would regularly test filaments for their tensile strength, and so what I immediately picture is “Archie”’s arms being mounted in Instron grips and pulled until they broke. 😆

But I guess it makes sense in this context - there is tensile force exerted on his arms because he is presently carrying Lucy. 💪🏽
