A Stranger Knocks: 3* In 1929, a young woman Judy and her husband Alvin are hired to drive around with the filmmaker Cartier using the car of the professor they are house-sitting for. The film is hypnotic, Cartier is a sort of vampire. Judy bargains for Alvin's life, but they will have to remain in his employment for a while.

Sangronas! Un Lista de Terror: 2* I really struggled to finish this one. The worldbuilding might be interesting, but there's little of it. Written in 2nd person, which isn't my preferred pov. I'm giving a star for representation (the narrator is trans and either native or latina, I believe), let's say.

A Menu of First Favorite Meals: 4* Two sisters reconnect through food while one is rewiring her brain in a new body after being an ambassador to the aliens for a few years. It's good. I wish we knew more about the aliens, but it's still good.

Growing Up in Fiction: Good essay about the importance of periods in content for children to normalize them and grow empathy.

Festival of Scales and Teeth: not rating poetry. I thought the characters were fishes, but there is a mention of being drunk and I don't know anymore.

The 6% Squeeze: 3* Miles is a (graphic designer?) charged with designing the packaging of a mug featuring the licensed character Mr Zeb. The style bible has to be followed exactly, but the only way he can do it is by squeezing the character by 6%. A few weeks later, he is called into the office, where Mr Zeb is exacting revenge on Warren, his supervisor, for the mistake. Creepy.

The Wrong Time Travel Story: 3*
Written in 2nd person. Someone's time travel trip went wrong and they didn't end up where they were supposed to. They asked questions like why are they here and didn't really get answer. Were brought back by the time travel company, full refund. Back to their life with the same question. They want to do it all over again at the end instead of thre refund.

Another Girl Under the Iron Bell: 3* A demon is forced to serve an ambitious monk. She grows another demon in a jar to offer instead of herself. The human assassin who was fascinated by her is reborn as a demon in the body of the monk at the end.

Dreams on a Tamarind Road: not rating poetry. I don't really get it, the focus seems to change (apocalypse, young boy disappearing/changing, love?).

Cursed Moon Queers: 2* Nothing much happens. Many queers people find their way to the moon (colony? Unclear). Unnamed narrator is a trans man. He goes to a Block party (blocking people with radical ideas), dtumbles upon a post from his ex. Self-harm at the end?
