i locked in just now: read from pg 275 to 298. i shouldve been doing homework... but i just wanna finish this book already this is taking ages my lord is this what regular people feel like when they read? patroclus just died and im lowkey really upset im ngl like i knew it was coming but im really sad i wasn't ready for it :(

I understand that having Briseis taken away is much more about power dynamics, shame, and being treated like less. But having Achilles, an important mythological figure, crying to his mother to fix this, wanting to make the people who shamed him hurt so bad that they come crawling back, makes me so frustrated with the human condition. Why are we so pathetic... Holy fuck.
