Status Updates From Under the Oak Tree, Vol. 2

I've finally reached the uncharted territory parts! It breaks my heart that Maxi feels so anxious and sad that she has to part ways with Riftan. She really cares about him a lot. Also, he doesn't seem to realize how much she loves him... I was honestly kind of mad the entire time they marched to Livadon because he was such a jerk?! I guess he was restraining himself, but come on. This book ends with them on the ship.

Ah, and so their heartbreaking love story continues. Maxi and Riftan still have a lot of misunderstandings about each other and although the communication is a little better, there are still plenty of heart-wrenching scenes between them. Not a fan of Agnes. I was also surprised that compared to the first book, Suji Kim dialed back on the smut lol. Riftan keeps holding himself back while Maxi wants more.
