I couldn't finish it, though it may be a fun story. I didn't have much empathy for the main character, which may have been by design, but it made me not care to get involved in her story, as imaginative as it started out. Maybe another time. She might appeal more to target YA audience. Only read about 20%, taking off my list for the time being.

It's a lively story, and maybe the main character is more empathetic later, but I honestly couldn't stick with it to finish the book past the beginning chapters at this time. Some minor inconsistencies, though very imaginative.

Shelby is only fourteen? Kinda weird that "the love of her life" is ten years older than her. It's always possible, I know, but it's definitely not normal when you're fourteen. Then again, Shelby is no normal person.
