I think I might be to old. I have 2 problems already: 1st is the language which instead of relatable it's giving "hello fellow kids" and 2nd is MC saying a btw I am in love in my best friend out of the blue....

I will forever scream into the ether that A HUMAN BEING CANNOT QUEERBAIT YOU. That is a term exclusively for story writing that is meant to hint at a CHARACTER being queer while never letting the audience know one way or the other. It's a manipulation tactic in FICTION. Actual real life people can't do that by definition. People are messy and don't always know and more importantly THEY DON'T OWE YOU THAT INFORMATION.
