I am now past the random sex scene the description warned us about. It was more or less what I expected.
The random purebloods testing him later were a bit heavy handed... but it did serve to drill in the council mindset.
I expect they both will be reoccurring characters.

40% in. Despite its flaws I'm enjoying it.

Getting better. I feel like it needs a look over my an editor though... Some aspects just seem off.

Hozen is an interesting character.
The glossary links are annoying on kindle. I find it easier to highlight them and look them up. The main problem is they bring you to a glossary page but not the term itself. So if you don't find the term you need to manually go back to the page you were on.

Ugh... What kind of person can zone out multiple times in a war zone? How did he even make it through training? I feel bad for his squadmates.

I'm going into this without any expectations. I've encountered the werewolf / soldier concept multiple times before so I know it can work, but I've never seen it play out over multiple related stories.

My one hope is that the author makes some sort of joke about unleashing the dogs of war.
