I liked the concept of this book, it was interesting and the fmc being cold and emotionless was different. Want to finish the series

I feel both compelled to keep reading but also annoyed because of the redundancy in the prose. The repeated mention of how psys do and do not act, how changlings do and do not act. It’s like the author doesn’t trust the reader with subtext. I also feel like the story jumped in too much without enough world building for me.
