For Irving and Pemberton's next mission, they headed out during the night. However, Pemberton fell into a huge hole with water at the bottom, due to not being able to see clearly. They had to call a rescue team to get him out. Afterwards, Irv and Brent teamed for a few missions. After those were done, Irving decided it was his time to leave the military for good, starting on March 10, 2010.

Soon before the end of the battle in the desert landscape, it was discovered that Kopp, one of Irving's allies, was severely wounded. After making it back to the platoon safe and sound from the battle, and after showering, Sergeant Casey told them the bad news: Kopp had died. The good news was that he was a donor, and his heart had saved an elderly woman.
