It’s possibly the only time she describes people as they are (vs the overblown caricatures of her shitty friends or her rose-tinted descriptions of her men). The union parts are also the most interesting thing in the book by far

I genuinely want to reach into this book and SHAKE Penelope like what the fawk is going on akansnwnanajsnsnsnsnns I’ve never been this aggravated by boring straight girl drama before

One (1) act of vulnerability and she breaks out in hives, I wonder why none of her relationships seem to be going well!

Of all things I didn’t expect a BTS mention but it’s like a drop of water in this desert of a book

I changed my mind Penelope is annoying as fuckkk she can’t make a decision on ANYTHING just constant bellyaching and turning the other cheek

This will sound silly but having a char pour and drink a glass of water ~emotionally~ is one of my biggest pet peeves. it’s always water like can we find something more interesting for them to do while pondering? brushing teeth? Combing hair? When was the last time anyone actually drank a glass of water and pondered
