finished. overall the third part of the omnibus set up nicely for the arc with the potential villains making an appearance towards the end of the volume as well as a few characters being hinted at as knowing more then they let on about magic. curious to see what happens with the world tree since that is being set up as a major plot point for arc. still enjoying this series and curious what will happen next

okay the mahora festival arc has started. this is probably my second favourite arc due to all the twists and character developments that happen along the way. so far we have been properly introduced to two new side characters and has chachamaru and her creator developed out a bit more. my favourite new character though is the ghost. she is fairly misunderstood and she only wanted to make friends. curious to read more

okay this volume was kind of fun. we had a few of the side characters start to learn basic magic, koutarou returns as a smain character and we found out a decent chunk of negis backstory. asuna seems to be hiding potential since we keep getting hints of her power or past but not much has been said definitely yet. it was also kind of cool to see negi going full force noticeably for the first time.

finished volume 7. this volume mainly focused on negi's desire to grow stronger after the class trip arc and hthe start of his training in magic and martial arts. on top of this we had some hints as to asakas past, a few possible clues as to negi's fathers whereabouts and a few of the side characters further developed. only real complaint was the last few chapters were pretty much just fan service and were boring.
