Status Updates From A five letter word for love

And the inevitable 3rd act breakup… sigh

This is a stupid thing to be annoyed about and contains SPOILERS…..

But in chapter 21 Emily plays her wordle guess (LIKES) and says she gets no letters right (“Shoot. All gray.”) but then she finally figures out what the word is (TRAIN) but it contains a letter from her first guess (i)… make it make sense.

I figured out the issue I have with Emily, the FMC. She’s very immature. She takes everything personally and lets it affect her mood. It gets to be a bit much after a time — especially when she’s supposed to be 27 years old, not 16.

"hey Doris," I venture. "if you were in a nursing give, would you want to go on field trips to museums?"
"if I were in a nursing home, I'd want to be shot."

I’m just about to start chapter four and I’m already struggling. The FMC has such a whiny narration voice and her judginess is coming off mean-girl-circa-2005.

I’m not sure if I’ll make it through to when it starts getting interesting. This book might not be a good fit for me.
