AUGH I forgot the last line of this book that’s so evil. The first half of every song. I don’t recall agreeing to care about Luke Harris but here we are, I do care, I am so excited for the sequel

"you sound just like him" okay word just shoot the guy next time. worst thing you could possibly say, it's beautiful. remembering firmly why the next book might be called The Family Business

it's amazing what of this book i remember and what i've completely forgotten

oh luke

i just like it. i really do

i am so glad there is a book i love that i also feel normal about. like this is the normal way to feel about a book. nothing is goring me open, no one is ripping organs out of me, i just Love This Book. normalstyle. it might be the only one but at least it exists

i was right, part of the reason i like this book so much is the author knows what she's talking about when it comes to violence and the people who enact it. the fights are perhaps a little long but that's like. the only knock against it i have

This book is lowkey devastating on a reread which is so bizarrely different from the first read

god i forgot he's funny. it's wild to have a narrator that's funny on purpose again, after Summer Sons (in which Andrew is extremely funny on accident i'm so sorry man) and Nearshore (in which Palmer is insane but not particularly witty nor pathetic enough for me to pity laugh)

I forgot I’m reading this on the platform with percentages and not page numbers. Cloudlibrary I love you but why are you like this

It is perhaps a bad idea to start rereading this before I’ve finished Nearshore but fuck it when have I ever been one for good ideas

This is not a thriller. It’s actually boring. Halfway through and struggling to finish.
