Duan Ling and his dad are so cute together, I may or may not have gotten curious and looked at the very last page of the volume and got spoilered so now I'm just suffering reading every happy scene that shows up. Honestly Fei Tian Ye Xiang writes characters so good and makes us suffer each time, as someone who got experience with Twin Jades of Jiangdong... the tragedy genre is evil

"Are you tired too?" Duan Ling felt Lang Junxia's weight leaning heavier on him, so he reached back and touched his cheek.
"No." Though Lang Junxia still seemed drowsy, the touch woken him slightly.
Behind him came the soft click of Lang Junxia fell onto the disassembled flower frame in the courtyard and tumbled down onto the ground.
Duan Ling spun around in shock and saw Lang Junxia motionless in the snow.

Despite the slow beginning, I’m really enjoying this book because it makes me feel so many things at once lol. It gives me this strange sense of homesickness and nostalgia, tinged with solitude and a longing for something I can’t quite put into words 😭
