The first half of this book was interesting, in large part due to how the author discussed his use of etymology in relation to Egyptian music and his discussion of the realm of Arabic music and the shift of interest from the great Umm Kulthoum to today's Arabic Pop.
His discussion of politics, however, was far less on point, and his 'Counterrevolution' epilogue wholly unnecessary.
