Much of DS Sloan's work, including this book is funded by the John Templeton Foundation. They tend to support work centred around theology, not necessarily Christianity but usually enforcing the existence of a god.

Looking past potential biases, I respect the work of Wilson and of E.O. Wilson - a hero of mine who founded the study of sociobiology.
