Maybe it’s because I’m on my period but this is already surprisingly precious and I love them both immediately.

I rarely DNF books, but I think I might have to DNF this one. The writing is wonderful, don’t get me wrong — I’m just not connecting to the story/plot. It’s so slow. I don’t know if there’s any storyline that could keep me hooked at this point.. I really wanted to like this one. I don’t mind longer books, but if I’m to read a book thing long, I need to be thoroughly invested & I unfortunately am not.

My heart breaks for Wroth, what the hell 😢 I'm very glad that this series is made of interconnected standalones and that the next book is about him. I want to see him happy too. Right now I'm like the meme "I've only known Wroth for a page and a half, but if anything happened to him, I would drive a silver stake through everyone in this room and then myself"
