I got bored and gave up

I am yearning for more dialogue. Motion prioritized description, so much so that conversations are paraphrased within the descriptive writing rather than written as dialogue with character voice. It’s making the book move slow.
However the imagery is written with great clarity, I can fully imagine the world.

I can’t get into this. I’d love to but I realize that not having read Treasure Island in over 40 years might be a problem. I need to revisit the “prequel” lol
