I've barely made inroads into the book, but I'm already put off by how tone-deaf Chapter 2 is. Bhatt does what every academic has done ever---talk grandiosely about intersectionality and diversity without allowing it to intrude into his own analysis. Thus he dismisses a question of strategy, or prospect, for a question of analysis, a question of retrospect. And he sees retrospection as introspection, which is cringe.
