Status Updates From The Quality of Life

I am someone who names Centennial as my favorite novel, and celebrates Michener’s birthday each year with my girlfriend, scrapple, bison burgers, etc. And if I don’t name Michener as my favorite novelist, it’s only because my tastes run towards dramatic flamboyance and extreme living. But here we have Michener writing in 1979, celebrating what is great about America, and diagnosing challenges we will face.
