ESPACIO..

"They moved planets" seriously?
This is just absurd. I'm not even a scientist or an AI expert, but the tech and "sciency" concepts thrown in this book feel very amateurish, and not like there was any research done to back the ideas. I usually tend to overlook some holes in science-logic, if the ideas are really interesting for the "fiction" part of Sci-fi, but they seem to be thrown in just for shock value here.

Eventually the author remembered he should mention the emotional struggle his MC should have had following the loss of his GF, child, and Earth, but it was weird to see the adjustment phase mentioned AFTER reading of how he was settling into life with his new friend.
Also, I don't think it's intentional that all of a sudden the tyrant CEO's name changes from Alex Fjord to... Jeff Bezos? And if it is, is it wise?

So, another thing that's bothering me is: this book is supposed to be scifi set on a distant future with technology we don't have. Note that book was written this year not decades ago.
However the author is describing technology that's already available to the general public like 3D printed and neural network AI bots. I'm no tech genius, but the bot described here is much behind even chat GPT... I don't get it

Our protagonist has just been in deep sleep for 80 years after something happened while he was on a trip to Earth to visit his supposedly pregnant bimbo girlfriend. It's been 6 months since he woke up and we are finding out about the state of the "world"
- POSITIVE: we are finally getting to the point
- NEGATIVE: he doesn't seem to spare a single thought for the girlfriend. Was she just the excuse to set the scene?

The writing style is being a tad... Overly descriptive? I feel already like there are so many parts to "cut" so to make this flow more naturally... 🤔 But maybe that's just me

Please, please book, let this "snuggle-bumbkin", tantrum-throwing-bimbo representation of the MMC's girlfriend just be something in good humour, cause if this is how this author builds his characters, we might have a problem already.
