Status Updates From Beasts of Carnaval

So, I had no idea this was a thriller & mystery... others do call it horror. (not horror for me right now!)

Love this so far. I live in PR and have been to Carnaval here; I like the focus on things like the vejigantes & other aspects of the history that are specific to this island. That said, I’ve restarted this book over and over and I’m pretty familiar with the history and terminology. I’d def suggest reading the hard copy - I know the cultural context for this & the audiobook is still confusing me.

I love that she mentions the vejigante and how they make their mask.

I have the physical book signed by the author and I'm also listening to the audio book. Right away there's a nostalgic feeling.
