Status Updates From The Ballad of Jacquotte Del...

I’m liking the story but the author struggles keeping scenes coherent, there are inconsistencies within scenes, especially the fight scene with the governor, that make it hard to follow. Like Florian getting toppled head first onto the floor by Marceau but then Jacquotte sees a shadow behind Marceau and it’s… Florian. So is he on the floor or not? It’s very clunky and awkward.

I’m so anxious for this to end because of the beginning and I just ADORE EVERYONE and I’m not emotionally equipped for the last 20 percent of the book so I kinda only ever read a little more 🤪
