Finished ch. 9. While on one hand I’m glad that our group didn’t just casually discard someone’s life, parts of me is also like, but come on, it’s that jerk who literally should have seen it coming, given how crappy they’ve been. Oh, and teamwork saving a hotheaded person bahaha.

Finished ch. 8. Love how it managed to incorporate a concept from another culture but made the scenario seemed plausible and not out of the blue. FYI, because I was dying to find out how it went, I actually speed-read the remaining parts and have finished the book, but a bit too tired, so I'll mark my thoughts and progress later.

Finished ch. 7. That's like super unfortunate but totally expected, like why would anyone think it's safe to let Mai be alone at night? Nobody should be alone in a haunted school lmao.

Finished ch. 6. Oh, that's tragic, and scary. Definitely a phenomenon never before seen within the series, raising the stakes. I like how, even though this one's setting is also in a school like last one, the approach is so different that the similarity is not at all much.

Finished ch. 5. My heart aches. I just saw a breadcrumb in the form of casual name-dropping; something nobody would understand the significance of which on first sight. I felt incredibly sad when the truth was revealed in the manga adaptation. Also felt horrible because I clearly don’t remember anyone else other than the crew members lmao.

Finished ch. 4. Dang, the teachers in this school is effing disgusting and should never have gotten to be teachers, the lack of empathy is truly appalling and the rudeness is so off-putting. It sucks that the students are the ones almost frightened to death and the teachers just carried on being dicks.

Finished ch. 3. Boy, consider me officially spooked. Seeing (phantom) body parts is just gross.

Finished ch. 2. Sheesh, like that dream wasn't creepy at all lmao. Poor Mai. Oh, and it's like, so weird, the Staff in this school are so nasty that I feel like I ought to have remembered those jerks if they were featured lol. Will hopefully revisit the manga at some point.

Finished ch. 1. OMG, unless the adaptation abbreviated a lot of subtle things, my memory is truly horrible because I did not recognize the start of the story arc at all. Truth be told, I can't really say I remember still, but some keywords do seem familiar, so I'll count it as something. Anyhow, folks, just, seriously don't play the kind of games that supposedly would summon "Gods".
