Spiritual and philosophical, and very thoughtful. I enjoyed this part of the book about The Self, leadership and flow. For me it’s important to think of how therapeutic modalities fit into a wider world, and the compassion at the heart of IFS resonates with me.

Noting there’s a slight cultishness in this chapter. As a Sounds Like A Cult fan, I rank it “live your life!”

Completed the Fire Drill and Sad Person short exercises which were both insightful to me.

Enjoyed the end of this chapter about being “self led,” and realise I’m starting to get a good understanding of IFS as I notice my inner monologue using terms that come from the book.

This part of the book has been speaking about attachment theory in relation to IFS which has been really interesting. I’m currently doing a lot of inner work on my anxious/slightly disorganised attachment and am keen to learn how to be the primary caregiver for myself.

I really like the transcripts from sessions in this book. good insight into how this works with different people, and how to guide myself
