I fear the author could not pick a plot line and so chose them all. There’s magic (not explored enough, what even is Kits power and now does this even affect the plot), the Irish vs English shit happening through all of modern history, and gossip girl type shit. Felt at times copy and paste from bridgerton too. Also all of the characters are one dimensional and I don’t care about any of them
