I think this was recommended on LitHub (or maybe one of her other books) so I picked it up at the library on a whim and gave it 15 minutes. I kind of like it - definitely unhinged woman vibes, but 2.8 rating on Goodreads? I’m not sure I’ve seen that before. This was nominated for a book critics circle award and was a best book for New Yorker, WaPo, etc, so I’m curious what I would think of it.

The main character's neuroses are as insufferable as the frenetic, unreadable prose. The premise was really interesting but I can't force myself to muddle through.
