I can NOT get enough of his prose. And I love books that make me go back and forth with emotions like this!

The character of Dora was definitely written with some resentment in this man’s heart. Her and David’s mom are almost comically stupid, which I understand is supposed to speak to the social norms of the time, but the idea of men liking stupid women at any time is such a foreign concept to me.
