“Paige was like that: time and time again she slowly sank into some darkness, and then when it got no brighter she’d pick up and leave as if to chase the sun so it could never set. She always returned, though, and I liked to imagine that she’d gone around the world, never letting the sun dip below the horizon and out of her sight, until she finally made it around the globe and home again.” (Pg 28)

okay so this book is incredibly dark, but it’s told through such an innocent perspective through David’s eyes. The beginning was interesting, it started off with an older protagonist but transferred to a young boy David by the 2nd chapter. I remember Frick, who is in both chapters, referring to the first protagonist as “Dee”, I wonder if it’s the same person but in different timelines of his life?

Holy shit, what just happened. Was Paige’s baby in the black tub?!!!!??!?
foreshadowing:
~“I opened the black plastic tub…a pile of plastic bodies in the moonlight…their joints clogged with dried mud” pg. 25
~When JP was talking about leaving his action figure in the sun watching it burn and melt?!!
~Paige whispering and cradling the box before burying it underground near the fire
WHAT THE FUCKK
