When they first met he was good to her. His jealousy and his belief she's nothing but a tramp has him being all asshole like. Not defending him. Just explaining more of the story. He does also worry about her.

Written in 1985. The hero basically raping the heroine shouldn't surprise me. It was prevalent in the 80s books, especially Robards. Hoping he profusely apologizes. If this was written today, I'd probably quit this book. With it being almost 40 years old, I'll go with it. But I'm still pissed at that fucker. 😤

I love this book! This reminds me a lot of sweet savage love. The hero and heroine are drawled to each other and there's no doubt a explosion when they come together! I highly recommend this book.
