I had not read this before. It feels dangerously simplistic. I understand that he wrote this 5 years before the collapse of the Soviet Union, but the book effectively says that the Cold War was over nothing. That the Communist ideology and the Democratic Republicanism of the other side were ultimately the same. That's almost offensively -- and DEFINITELY perilously -- naive.
