Status Updates From Far Away from Here: A Novel

This book is so so good. Follows 3 POVs of young Black Muslims in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina, and it is so detailed and the prose flows and I am connecting with each of the characters. AND it feels like it's written *for* a Muslim audience--concepts such as dua and prayer are not explained, but you can still tell that each person has their own relationship with Islam
