This is such an odd book. Deceptively dense. A lot is happening on every page but I don't know how to describe the plot, at this point, that's different to where we were at the 15% mark! I had to keep putting it down over traveling Japan because I just needed some punchier reads

i don't want to get too excited but this might fill the hole in my heart left by 'the privilege of the sword' eleven years ago :')
