This is a fascinating bastard. Place is clearly brilliant—the problem being that she seems to think she’s the smartest person in every room ever built. She’s quite repellently smarmy, but has legitimate concerns that should concern you too. Her pride in being an asshole is grating, especially as most shake that shit off by their mid-20s or so (that pernicious stripe of ego based around their own ‘brilliance’).

This is excellent, and her arguments should be engaged with by all of us.

But, like beauty, guilt is a verdict, not a fact.
