absolutely pains me to give up on this book 84% in but its been months & I have no desire to finish it. 1/4 of the book had interesting short stories which was so disappointing. I even purchased the hard back expecting to love it, but ended up feeling very little. making the stand universe boring is a criminal offence and a majority of this book did just that. conclusion is: meh :/

Gabino Iglesias’s The Hope Boat
You don’t need The Stand to need this boat. Tragically, I’m afraid we would be facing similar options to those at the end of this poignantly emotional story.

Am I surprised that Richard Chizmar is bringing the EXACT tone of The Stand? No, no I'm not.
So good. I love his writing.

Ooo, I've never read from C. Robert Cargill before, but I loved that story! I'll need to look into Cargill's work.
