I swear to god I'm being rage-baited by this book. The author has mentioned almost every economist, economic philosophy/theory in the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries. She continues to talk about how no economic theory has accounted for the value of care labour and yet the Labour Theory of Value does just that. Please, I hope she mentions Marx I'm the later chapters. Surely I'm being teased

I feel as though the author a secret marxist or she is inventing Marx from first principles. She explained the history of the enlightenment/liberalism and how the needs of the economy shaped the view on domestic labour. But, she does not arrive at the base and superstructure theory of Marx. She identifies price as not a fundamental unit but never identifies that fundamental unit as "socially necessary labour time"

Tycker jättemycket om, men wow va lång tid det har tagit för mig att läsa den trots att den är så tunn. Även om den tar upp olika saker i de olika kapitlen så känns det som att jag läser samma kapitel om och om igen.

Väldigt många personer jag skulle vilja ge den här till, men det är som att den preciis är lite för otillgänglig för att funka för de jag tänker på... Fått min syster att läsa den dock!
