Liked the constant shifting of time in Rachel's thoughts in "Lifesavers," and the last simile is a killer.

Loved Yvette and Rose, the most complex story so far. This feels like a taste of a genre of American literature, Southern literature, that is quite underrepresented in my reading.

Love the descriptions of class and gender differences in "Bikes"

I've read the first two stories and love the careful delineation of these corners of American lives I've never seen.
