The segments on Friendship and Eros were insightful. The takeaway from Friendship is that it operates primarily by allowing the light of others to reveal more of your own traits through fixating on a shared idea or goal. The principal vice for friendship is pride.
Eros operates by devoting one’s self entirely and exclusively to another, with or without sexual desire. The danger of Eros isn’t lust, but obsession.
