Status Updates From First Time, Long Time

reading this one sooo slowly.. i really like the voicing of the main character and it’s cute but when i say there’s genuinely nothing happening…like i don’t pick up the book bc i don’t have a desire to know what happens next because usually the answer is nothing except some witty commentary on this girl’s everyday life

i just read a whole chapter that started with a few sentences about this man and a planned date and then went so far off the rails that we were exploring childhood trauma and then the chapter ended and the date she had mentioned at the start of the chapter didn’t even happen yet. like wow thought daughter lit fic hello
