Status Updates From World Without Women

Again for the book I'm reading I can't find it on here so we will go with another book with a similar theme.
My current is called "Parwana without Sham" it follows Parwana our MC who is a boy in a world where all woman on the planet have died.
I can't wait to see what this book brings : )

Best line so far - "As with a great number of deviates and alcoholics, Kathy was more than ordinarily clever." p123 (Kathy is a lesbian and Chucklehead Reed's childhood friend.)

After 99% of all the women on Earth die, the first thing men do is stop shaving. The second thing they do is broadcast porn 24/7. Hilarious.

So 99% of the women world-over die and the first thing the men do is stop shaving and start running porn on broadcast tv? Huh.

The plot wouldn't work if the protagonist weren't a complete dunderyutz.

I found this book in a booktrader shop yesterday and I could not resist buying it. As I love dystopia books the title and blurb on the back had me at a glance. Written in the early 60s it's surprisingly frank and lurid - or at least I thought the late 50s/early 60s were more prudish when it comes to their content. So far a fascinating and weird read, diving into a gender role perspective from its' written time.
