Status Updates From Metal Gear (Worlds of Power)

I found scans of old worlds of power books online. I remember reading these as a kid on vacation. Holy crap this is amazingly terrible. The bad guy is named Vermon CaTaffy. It's a delight how unreadable this is.

Interesting mission strategy. Leave your operative completely alone and send out false radio communications on the one channel you told him to check in on.

The author writes about scorpions as if he's only heard about them by rough description.

These guys are way too haphazard with where they leave their key cards.

Man, this particular brand of terrorist certainly likes parking trucks together in threes.

There is so much information that is simply glossed over either because it wasn't explained in the game or because the writer was feeling lazy.

Don't take those cigarettes, Snake, because they could be poison. But of course they're poison, because they're cigarettes. Don't smoke, kids!

Possibly the greatest of the Worlds of Power novels. Which isn't saying much, but still.
